Fairy Shortbread
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups plain flour
1 cup rice flour
1 cup caster sugar
60g butter unsalted
Shaped cookie cutters
Edible items to decorate the biscuits with
Instructions
Make sure the butter is soft and mix in the caster sugar with a fork until it is soft and creamy looking. This might take a little while!!
Then add the flour and the rice flour and mix into a dough ball. You can add milk if it gets too dry or more flour if too sticky.
Roll out the mixture and cut out shapes that you like using cookie cutters.
Place the uncooked biscuits on a greased tray and cook in a moderate oven 180 c till brown.
Leave to cool on the tray a little before putting them on the cooling wire.
When they are cool you can decorate them anyway you like with edible silver balls, cholate pieces, edible flowers using icing sugar to make them stick or melted chocolate.
