I do recall you, at the end, saying something about feedback/evaluation???? Unfortunately we were pressed for time after the show - but I thought it would be an injustice to you to just not let you hear from us at all.
I love that the characters are on the children's level - both physically (no raised stage) and mentally - expressed by their speech, interests, behaviour and mannerisms - which I know all parents could smile and relate to.I also loved the interactive aspect of the play - not only drawing the children in more, but also allowing further opportunity to experience drama and the stage, and therefore develop a familiarity and confidence for other occasions in their life.
In this regard it was educational too, but mostly I was so impressed with the ingenious way in which the play could so tastefully and successfully combine entertainment (for both kids and parents) with educational, topical issues such as good health and diet. My children (5, 5,and 3) have always brushed their teeth in the morning but not at night before bed, but since the same night of your show they religiously go off to the bathroom of their own accord to brush their teeth, discussing how important it is ...Fairy Trina, Tooth Fairy Flora, ....blah, blah, blah.I never would have conceived that a one hour play could reap effortlessly, the rewards that I laboriously try to instil day after day for years!!!!
In short, I thought it was the best $50 I'd spent in a long time!! I would not even think twice about bringing the kids back again for the same show, but my little 3 yr old boy, (who that day could not control his urge to 'chicken dance' and gate crash the stage) was not keen on the slightest possibility of a Wizard appearing and insists he will not join us!Many thanks to you for such a quality show, ......and please pass on gratitude and congratulations for a job well done - to the other quality actors and actresses that joined you.
Kind regards,Hi Treen
I just wanted to drop you a note and say how much we enjoyed your production. You should be really, really proud of yourself. You have turned your fantasy into reality because you dared to dream and have so much passion and belief. The actual show was fabulous, just as I knew it would be. You had Ash spellbound and eager to explore the set (as the other parents and Stavros will attest) and you even managed to physically engage Mr Shy (Josh) who didn't hesitate to jump up with the other kids for a rendition of Twinkle Twinkle. That he counted with you and answered your questions and sat on the cushions so close to the action were some significant steps for us.
His favorite bit was the Wishing - he asked me at the time during the performance if they could do another wish so everyone could wish for moons too (not just stars!) Last night he wanted us to feel his heart beat and promised that if he could go again he wouldn't be shy next time. This morning he was running around saying 'smelly bottom' or something along those lines from the story; so I asked Stan to tell daycare that it was from the panto so he didn't get in trouble.Josh wants to be a 'green goblin'. I'm not sure which fairytale it is that Stan reads him that has a green goblin; but that's what has got Josh's attention. Let me know if you come across a green goblin outfit so I can get it for him (I don't have much time in my 'spare time' to costume shop).
Anyway, you're doing a fabulous job and the kids love you - I wish I had the smallest sprinkling of your gift. We'll see you again soon. Until then take care and keep well,
love jenJennifer Bearder
